Exam’s Tension – Do Not Mistake It With Your Precious Life

So this is the exam time and you must be in full of anxiety and must be cautious for the results well before the time you have even appeared for the exams. It is quite obvious to be worried for exams even we have put our best efforts and gave ample time to studies. Exam’s tension is common in all students and during whole student life irrespective of the preparation you have done, the time you have given to studies, how quickly you learn things or you are a backbencher it is going to be there for sure.

Reasons behind Exam Tension:

Issues related to society and a student:

  • The general attribution to this exam phobia is first and foremost genetic and produced by society for long. You are like genetically and culturally modified to race and then bound mentally to win this race of grades and divisions first in school later in universities and colleges.
  • This race of grades and percentage is leading you nowhere and this is the truth nobody wants to understand neither your parents nor your teachers. Peer pressure does the rest to put you in immense mental and physical pressure.
  • This persistent pressure ultimately makes you feel like same as others are expecting from you. You are into this race unto the win or you are simply out. It is as simple as that.
  • Next is ill preparation. You have attended all the classes, lectures, tuition classes, self-studies and what not but still you are fighting with the basic concept to be understood. Here you can blame the poor quality of education provided to you, your lethargy towards your important task of studies else you are not that much competent to understand the topic.
  • It’s completely fine if you understand things slow or sometimes very slow, here, at least, you are putting in efforts to do so. And ultimately you feel like you started succeeding in your efforts as the results are quite fruitful.
  • When you are ditching your study plans throughout the year and leave everything for the eleventh-hour schedule then definitely you are going to be in trouble as you have wasted most of your time doing things which were away from your priority list. Remember annual syllabus is given to us at the beginning of the year just because that we should manage our time and efforts in an optimum manner.

Policy related issues:

  • The quality of education is long debated question by all in our country. It seems like everybody wants to make and impose their own rules vis-à-vis education system and culture of India is concerned. Our education system in present time has lost all its importance and it is almost rotten which needs to be corrected as soon as possible. We are creating hundreds of thousands of students every year with giving them stamped degrees. These degrees can’t help them to get some decent job neither these degrees are able to support professionalism in our youth.
  • Other than these core issues one more issue is gaining substantive attention and that is today’s education is vertical to money making object than to be worried about an education for all. We have schools/colleges/universities that exist just to make more and more money.
  • The traditional education system is a seriously flawed model around the world and that is incapable of being fixed due to all the vested interests say it economical or political or any other motive behind it that currently benefit from and control the system. It is time for a new customer-centric-professionalism-based model to bring the efficiencies and effectiveness of a professional approach to education.
